Material & Craft

Q1: Is your glass lead-free? Can you provide material test reports?

A: All our glass lampshades adopt lead-free soda-lime glass. We can provide official material test reports upon request to meet EU and US market requirements.

Q2: What glass material do you supply? Soda-lime glass or borosilicate glass?

A: Standard items are high-quality soda-lime glass. Heat-resistant borosilicate glass is available for special high-temperature lighting projects with customized MOQ.

Q3: Are your glass shades hand-blown or machine pressed?

A: We support both techniques. Hand-blown shades for high-end bespoke lighting projects; machine-pressed shades for mass orders with stable dimension consistency.

Q4: What wall thickness can you produce for glass lampshades?

A: Available thickness ranges from 3mm to 20mm. We will recommend suitable thickness according to your lighting structure and anti-breakage demand.

Q5: Can the glass resist thermal shock? Will it crack under long-term LED heating?

A: Our standard glass can adapt to normal LED working temperature. For high-heat lighting, we suggest borosilicate glass to avoid thermal cracking.

Q6: What surface finishes are available for glass shades?

A: We offer clear, frosted, smoked, amber, gradient tint, embossed, carved and acid-etched finishes. Custom surface treatment is acceptable.

Q7: Can you adjust light transmittance for residential and hotel lighting?

A: Yes. We can adjust light transmittance via frosting, tinting or coating to match your lighting design effect.

Q8: What is your dimension tolerance standard?

A: Standard tolerance: ±1mm for machine-pressed glass; ±1.5mm for handmade blown glass. We can adjust tolerance based on customers’ requirements.

Q9: Can we customize shape, size and color based on our drawings?

A: Absolutely. We accept OEM & ODM customization. You can provide drawings, samples or design drafts for development.

Q10: Can you match Pantone or RAL color number for glass tint?

A: We can color-match according to Pantone/RAL reference. Minor color difference exists for glass products, and we will confirm color samples before mass production.
